Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government allows opening tourist sites for areas with PPKM level 3. However, the opening of this tour is mandatory with very strict protocols.
“Tourism sites are opened with strict procedures and care for protection in level 3 cities,” said Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in his presentation, Monday (13/9).
However, Luhut said that even though the tourist area was opened, the odd-even system would be applied to reduce the capacity of human movement.
“The implementation of odd-even at tourist attractions from Friday to Sunday aims to reduce vehicles there. So that there are not many visitors like Pangandaran last week,” said Luhut.
As for the Bali tourist area, the government is still making considerations while looking at the situation in the next few weeks. “Bali, we are still looking at the road for the next one or two weeks,” he said.
He again reminded residents not to get carried away with euphoria in the midst of the trend of COVID-19 cases that continues to improve in Indonesia, especially when the process is slack and the care and protection application system is not implemented.
“IThis is the danger of inviting new covid. Remember we used to be alpha, now delta is more powerful,” he said.
