Tournoi inter-banque : SMMEC crowned champions in pétanque

The inter-bank tournament organized by ⁢the Banky Foiben’i Madagasikara (BFM) took place ​on July‍ 23rd⁢ and 24th. The event was part of the celebration of BFM’s 50th anniversary. On this occasion, 18 financial institutions participated in the event titled “The Grand Games of BFM’s 50th Anniversary”. The participants competed in ‌5 disciplines, ⁣namely ‍football, basketball, volleyball, pétanque, and table tennis, over the course of two days at the Barea annex stadium.

In ⁢the⁣ pétanque men’s triplette‌ category, the Société Malagasy ‌Mutualiste d’Epargne et de Crédit (SMMEC) claimed the top spot on the podium. The SMMEC team, composed of Ralizaka Hiarozo, Rason Hajaharison,​ Tantely Andriantsilavina, and Christian Rakotoarisoa, emerged victorious in the final duel‍ against ‌the Aro insurance team.

In basketball, the microfinance⁢ institution’s team finished as the runners-up ⁣after being defeated ⁤by the Central Bank. ⁢”As a microfinance institution, represented by the members of the Board of Directors, ⁤the management congratulates Banky Foiben’i Madagasikara⁢ on ​its 50th anniversary.
