Since the weather is forecast to be good, the Leonardo Montana concert will take place in the courtyard of the art school this Saturday August 14 at 9 p.m.
Leonardo Montana is certainly one of the most appreciated French pianists (Felipé Cabrera, Naissam Jalal, Omara Portuando…) Musician of Brazilian origin, he delivers acoustic jazz packed with rare quality. He recently played in Marciac alongside Naissam Jalal. For this evening in Tournan, he will be accompanied by Guadeloupe drummer Arnaud Dolmen and double bassist Thibaud Soulas. Arnaud Dolmen, drummer, composer, is one of the most popular artists of his generation. His work is described as a “masterstroke” by Jazzwise Magazine and his accolades include “Breakthrough of the Year” by Jazz Magazine. In October 2017, his first album “Tonbé Lévé” was released, which was a great success. Whether they are collaborations on stage or in the studio, each of the Guadeloupe’s encounters nourishes his creativity and leaves an indelible mark on his sticks. From a very young age, Arnaud has collaborated with artists from all over the world and has become an eclectic sideman drummer in great demand.
Thibaud Soulas, outstanding double bass player, collaborates with many musicians in particular from the Toulouse region such as Nicolas Gardel, Leila Martial, Laurent Paris, Christian Tonton Salut, Magali Piétri. We also find him alongside Enrico Rava, Benoît Convert, Fidel Fourneyron. Since 2020, he has been at the origin of the musical recreations of Tournan.
