Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced the lifting of border crossing restrictions last week, but the decision was approved by the government yesterday.
Travelers will be able to come to the country if they present a vaccination certificate issued within six months.
Tourists will also have to take Covid-19 tests before going to Israel and after arriving in the country.
Israel was the first country to launch a mass vaccination campaign and was the first to curb the spread of the coronavirus. However, in late August the infection began to spread again, so it was decided to start booster vaccinations.
Currently, about 3.9 million of the more than eight million people in Israel have received a third dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
