“Tourists flock to Edirne, boosting local businesses and patisseries”

Thousands of visitors from Turkey and neighboring Balkan countries flock to the Edirne area these days. There are a lot of Bulgarians among them.

“Most people come from the provinces of Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir. There are crowds of tourists from abroad as well, especially from Bulgaria,” said the manager of a hotel in Edirne Bulent Ioniz.

Many patisseries in the city center also doubled their production because of the many tourists.
