Tourist in Naples robbed of watch but turns out to be fake, thieves return it to owner | Abroad

The Swiss were having a drink around midnight in Piazza Trieste e Trento, one of the city’s most famous squares, according to CNN. A man walks up to the two and puts a gun to the head of one of the men on the terrace. He then took off his watch and walked away. The images were captured on a surveillance camera.

The terrace visitors remain appalled after the brutal action. But then suddenly another man approaches the Swiss tourists. He waves his arms to show that he is unarmed and then returns the watch.

What turned out? The watch was fake. A counterfeit Richard Mille to be exact. “They thought it was worth $300,000,” councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli told CNN. According to the owner of the cafe, the man returned the watch and said: “Sorry, sorry!”
