Disobey prohibitions it has consequences for which you can end up getting burned. Literally. A tourist visiting one of the most famous places in the world will have evidently understood this. This is Yellowstone National Park in the United States. The nature reserve is located in Wyoming but borders as well in neighboring Idhao and Montana and is characterized by the presence of numerous geysers and natural thermal springs.
The landscape of Yellowstone National Park is also characterized by the subalpine type forest but also has various other types of ecosystems. And we are talking about one of the most picturesque and precious places on the planet and it is no coincidence that Yellowstone Park has been declared a world heritage site by Unesco. The Yellowstone name is a legacy from the French “roche jaune”that is to say “yellow rock“. Which is the effect that the springs of the river of the same name that crosses the area can create.
Never disobey prohibitions, this could happen
Geysers and hot springs represent one of the main attractions of the park. Thus an imprudent tourist wanted to test first-hand – also in this case literally – how high the temperature of a geothermal formation next to which she was walking together with other people could be. It must be said that it is strictly forbidden to deviate from the established route to approach one of the many sources present, but this woman didn’t care. What could possibly go wrong, after all?

And so this chick approached a thermal spring, from which she rises perennially a column of hot steam. And somewhat stupidly, as happens in the Alien films, in which an incautious explorer approaches the xenomorph’s eggs only to be suddenly attacked, also in this case the protagonist of the story has to pay a heavy price. On the contrary, ends up getting burned, and ugly. In fact, shortly after we see her go away in pain.
The video of what happened
The woman wanted to understand how hot that water could be. In reality it would have been enough to simply ask: the maximum recorded temperature is 80°with her ending up getting burned. In a video shoot made by another of the visitors present, it can be seen disobeying the prohibitions in force to approach a source. She placidly puts her hand in the water and then gets up and runs away, screaming that, yes, the water is actually boiling.
The comment of the author of the video made with a smartphone is eloquent, that calls her stupid. Luckily there are also video testimonials of much more edifying episodes and in the course of which you can better appreciate what is happening. As in the case of an intrepid haulier driving naturally over an overhang that would strike fear into anyone else.
