Friday, May 6, was three Americans found dead in separate beach villas belonging to the luxury hotel Sandals resort in the Bahamas. Another woman was taken to a Miami hospital for treatment.
Three days later, the police identified the dead, as well as the woman who survived:
Michael Phillips (68) and his wife Robbie Phillips (65) from Tennessee. Both were pronounced dead at the resort on Friday. Michael was found in the bathroom while Robbie was in bed.

The toxicological examinations will still not be ready, but the relatives now want a new autopsy done by independent forensic pathologists.

The Bahamas’ Minister of Health and Welfare, Michael Darville, told the news website Eyewitness News that the authorities want to get to the bottom of the causes of death as soon as possible, and that they will facilitate the relatives’ request.
