Tourist Climbs Rome’s Trevi Fountain for Water, Goes Viral on TikTok

A video of a tourist climbing Rome’s iconic Trevi Fountain to fill her water bottle is going viral on social media TikTok.

Footage filmed last month shows a woman walking over a row of rocks to reach the center of the 18th century monument as horrified onlookers look on.

After filling her bottle, she tries to walk away, before a guard whistles and walks towards her.

The two will have a brief discussion before the guard pulls the lady out of the site.

It remains unclear what happened to the tourist after the incident and whether she was arrested or fined.
