“The condition of the patients is satisfactory. All are clearly conscious, contactable and adequate. 14 people arrived with us, of which 4 men and 10 women – aged between 30 and 70 years. Two of the women were admitted to the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic. And the rest of the patients are in the Department of Neurosurgery. Two of them are in a more serious condition – one lady has a large laceration wound on her scalp, and one of the men has a broken cervical vertebra.” This was stated on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria” by the deputy director of UMBAL Burgas Dr. Svetoslav Todorov.
“Yesterday evening I was informed that the bus had crashed. The two drivers who were with the vehicle are quite experienced. The one who was driving the bus at the time of the accident is 45 years old. The other is 52. As far as I understand, they have changed to Stara Zagora. I haven’t spoken to them yet, as they were testifying when I arrived at the scene,” said the owner of the bus, Nikolay Dinev.

He emphasized that the bus was bought a month ago and immediately after that it passed a technical inspection. It was produced in 2011. “Before leaving for Austria, the vehicle was thoroughly inspected. During the trip, we talked to the drivers, but they didn’t mention anything about technical problems,” he emphasized.
“More procedural-investigative actions are pending and an auto technical expertise will be appointed, which will determine whether it is a matter of human error or a technical malfunction”, stressed the head of the “Road Police” in Burgas, Plamen Nikolov.
