The police said a total of 37 were victims of a tourist bus accident that overturned and fell into a ravine in a tourist area Jar, Tegal Regency, Central Java. One of the victims died.
Reported detikJatengSunday (7/5/2023), Tegal Police Chief AKBP Mochammad Sajarod Zakun said 1 serious injury and 35 minor injuries.
“From one bus that crashed, 37 (passengers) had entered. At the time of the incident, the other (passengers) were outside. For the total number of groups there were 107 (people), divided into two (buses),” said Sajarod.
The victim who died was Maja bin Hasyim (65) from South Tangerang. The victim had received treatment at the Bumijawa Health Center.
Sajarod said the accident started when the driver started a parked tour bus to warm up the engine. Then, as many as 37 passengers boarded the bus.
Meanwhile, the kernet and the driver were still outside the bus. Then, the Tourism Ambassador tourism bus with police number B 7260 OGA suddenly sped away and then rolled over into the river.
