The Salzburg tourism schools offer practical training in tourism, gastronomy and the hotel industry at the locations of Bad Hofgastein, Bramberg and Klessheim.
The three locations of the tourism schools in Salzburg have different priorities: from the sports tourism school in Bad Hofgestein to the tourism school in Bramberg with a focus on the region to the business tourism school in Klessheim with a new tourism campus.
Bad Hofgestein tourism school with a culinary masterclass
The Tourismusschule Bad Hofgastein is particularly suitable for students interested in lifestyle, well-being, cooking and sports. The training offer includes the five-year “Higher School for Tourism”, the six-year “Higher School of Tourism and Skiing” and the three-year “Cooking Master Class” School of Hotel Management. The hotel school offers training with a high level of practical relevance and a focus on cuisine, service, lifestyle and the staging of gastronomy.
Depending on the type of school, students receive tourism and management training from us, can practice competitive sports and, in addition to an excellent general education, acquire a high level of practical competence.
Director Dr Maria Wiesinger
Tourism school in Bramberg with an outdoor focus
Embedded in the Hohe Tauern National Park, the “Higher Institute of Tourism Education” in Bramberg focuses on the “outdoors”. There is also an advanced course in “Finance and Risk Management”. There is also a hotel management school with a focus on the “digital business” at home. On 16 December 2022 and 13 January 2023 the school will organize a trial day for those interested.
Tourismusschule Klessheim with a new tourism campus
The educational offer of Klessheim includes a “Higher Institute of Education for Tourism”, a three-year “Technical School for Food and Sport” and, for those in possession of a high school diploma, a “College for hotel management”. This training promises an international degree with a job guarantee.
The construction of the new building started in September 2021 and is considered the flagship project of the Salzburg education landscape. A total of 33 million euros were invested. The new “Tourism Campus Klessheim” will open with the start of school in autumn 2023. Sustainability, digitization and new learning set innovative standards and enable intelligent learning. The redesigned offer thus secures the generation of skilled workers of the future and prepares for the current and future needs of tourism.
Pupils should be able to use the programming functions of professional kitchen appliances, execute digital ordering and warehousing forms, and use various forms of cashless payment processing.
