Can a Brandenburg guest card have effects on tourism? This is what TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH wants to know and has therefore selected regions in Brandenburg to evaluate whether such a system is financially and organizationally sustainable across the country.

Brandenburg thinks outside the box
To participate as a pilot region, TMB had previously invited all travel regions, municipalities and national natural landscapes through the regional tourism associations. All regions and municipalities participating in the feasibility study would now receive individual coaching from a scientific consortium of consultants.
Brandenburg has followed with great interest the positive effects a guest card has triggered in other tourist regions in Germany. “We are convinced that together we can create a very good solution with new, innovative approaches,” said Dr. Andreas Zimmer, Head of Cluster Management at TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH. If tourist flows are to be directed more specifically to the state of Brandenburg, “the public accessibility of the state of Brandenburg plays a central role”, according to the TMB. Topics such as intermodality, digital and intelligent networking, the development of new vehicle concepts and transport services and, above all, strengthening the environmental network and climate friendliness would become increasingly important.
