“When you observe the flow of visitors to Rundāle Palace, you mostly hear the voices of Lithuanians. Now and then you hear Spaniards speaking. You can observe tourists from the Far East from South Korea, Japan and China,” said the director of the museum.
The number of tourists from Germany is decreasing, and there are not so many American tourists anymore. But in general, Luce looks at this tourist season with high hopes.
This season, Rundāle Castle plans to attract visitors with several events, such as a date in the garden at five in the morning, an exhibition of French tapestries and an ancient music festival, among others.
This year, the usual garden festival will be devoted to the theme of water. In the middle of June, the satellite exhibition of the Triennale of Textile Art, which is a large international project, will open in the palace.
