The Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Manuel Villalobos Arámbula, also highlighted the importance of the relationship between both nations, not only in terms of agri-food trade, but also in terms of the flow of tourism.

Villalobos highlighted the positive impact of the relationship between Mexico and China in strategic areas such as tourism, which contributes to the economic development of both nations. Ambassador Zhang also mentioned that with the increase in the flow of tourists between both nations, it is expected that new records will be set in the coming years.

This growth in tourism coincides with the expansion of cooperation between both nations, such as the 36 twinnings between local entities, with Morelia being the last city to formalize an agreement with Nanning, China.
