Who says vacation says transhumance.
At the end of this week begins the Carnival holidays and the transhumance to the ski slopes.
That said, in most of Belgium’s neighboring countries, holidays have started earlier or they will start later. Weekend traffic promises to be dense but not catastrophic.
In Belgium, traffic will be loaded with possible traffic jams Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. In France, on Friday, traffic will be dense, with some possible slowdowns in the Northeast. Elsewhere the roads will be cleared. Saturday, motorists will have to take their troubles patiently in the Rhône-Alpes region but there should not be any problems elsewhere.
In Germany, people are announced on the roads Friday and Saturday with a risk of traffic jams in the South, in the direction of Austria and Switzerland. The Swiss and Austrian road networks are likely to be loaded on Saturday.
In terms of returns, Friday, February 28, promises to be tough in northeast France. Saturday February 29 is rated orange in the East and mainly in the Alps region. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Touring envisages heavy traffic with Friday and Saturday.
Finally, in Belgium, traffic will be heavy on Sunday afternoon and in the evening.
