Former local correspondent and very active volunteer, Lucien Müls died on Sunday, at the age of 76.

Those who knew him well, and there were many of them, called him “Lulu”. Former local press correspondent at The voice of the North and to north lightningvery involved in local community life, Lucien Müls died suddenly this Sunday, at the age of 76.
Volunteer responsible for blood donors, he was also a volunteer puppeteer, a passion that had animated him since he was seven years old. This commitment, at the Kiwos and Broutteux theater, earned him in 2018 to receive the K d’or, a distinction awarded by the Kiwanis club of Neuville-Tourcoing. He was also the author of a book retracing the life of a resistance fighter from Wattrelos, tortured and sent to concentration camps.
Recognized personality
On Facebook, the mayor of Tourcoing, Doriane Bécue, greeted this Monday a man ” humanist, generous, passionate, he was a recognized personality of the associative life of Tourquennoise. He had two children and six grandchildren. A final tribute will be paid to him at the Six funeral home, in Neuville-en-Ferrain, this Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Our newspaper offers its most sincere condolences to his family.
