After the first week, Tour de France racers will have a big change. The flat and hilly surface is replaced by the mountain hills of the Alps. Right at the beginning of the race, the participants will have about five kilometers of steep climbs. Then comes the descent, so that the first third of the race should not be so difficult. It can be expected that a change of terrain can create greater differences and set aside a smaller group of favorites thinking of an overall victory.
