Tour de France 2022: Peter Sagan did not win today – evaluation of the 16th stage

Canadian cyclist Hugo Houle triumphed in Tuesday’s 16th stage of the 109th Tour de France and achieved the greatest success of his career. Slovakian Peter Sagan from the TotalEnergies team did not fight for the championship, he finished in 133rd place with a deficit of 31:21 min.

“Nothing much, I didn’t like it today. It was hot and very humid, the heat was worse than the climbs.” the Slovak cyclist evaluated the stage in an interview for RTVS.

On Wednesday, the stage from Saint-Gaudens to Peyragudes is 129.7 km long, but with four challenging climbs, including the final climb to the finish line (Cat. 1, 8.1 km, 7.2%).
