The professional cyclists of the Tour de France will arrive this Tuesday afternoon in Saint-Gaudens. Some of them will then head to Toulouse to spend the night there.
After a start from Pas-de-la-Case this morning, the Tour de France riders are now heading towards Saint-Gaudens. The athletes and their teams are located in different partner hotels of the Tour, several are from Toulouse. Among them, the four-star hotel Le Palladia. “This year we are welcoming three teams: Bahrain, DSM and AG2R,” says Frédéric Klasinski from the Palladia sales department. The hotel is not privatized for the occasion, but the professional teams take up most of the spaces, both in the rooms and in the common rooms, including the car park.
Regarding the evening and the sports menu, here is how it will go. “Each team has its cook. We provide them with the food and each of them prepares specific menus for the runners in their food truck, ”explains Frédéric Klasinski. “The particular adaptation, compared to other editions, is to provide a different room per team for catering. When requesting we know which spaces they need, we are well-versed. Each team will have its own specific requests: to be on such and such a floor, to set up so many tables for catering, to have a certain number of parking spaces… We respond to these requests as well as possible ”, concludes the hotel’s sales manager.
