Trained at Werder Bremen, Niklas Schmidt experienced all categories with the German club. Attacking midfielder of 1.84m, the German was not the most used player this season by Ole Werner, 1095 minutes played in the Bundesliga for 3 goals and 1 assist. The Germany U19 international has only played 5 games with a full 90 minutes. Often used as attacking midfielders, the Werderaner can also play in the number 8 position or a few notches higher under the striker.
