It’s a booster shot. The ANV COP 21 collectives, les Faiseurs de ville, and Deux pieds deux Roues symbolically marked the route of the future Réseau express Vélo (REV) between Castelmaurou, Toulouse and St Lys during the morning of Saturday, September 18. The REV is a network of the Toulouse conurbation 370 kilometers of cycling facilities. For now, work has not yet started. In a joint press release, the three groups warn: “it is urgent to deploy low or non-polluting alternatives to the use of private cars.”

With this symbolic action, they want in particular to “remind the president of Toulouse Métropole that he has committed to carrying out the REV on the 2020-26 mandate when the work has not started and that the announced budget is for the moment insufficient, 66 million euros instead of 100 million euros necessary for the part located on the territory of Toulouse Métropole ”.

The ANV COP 21 collectives, the City Makers, and Deux pieds deux Roues also want to “challenge all the local authorities of the agglomeration concerned by the realization of the REV and call on them to coordinate to ensure a rapid and coherent deployment on the whole territory ”.
