In April 2014, Clément Elbaz, a young videographer from Toulouse, boarded an inflatable boat (the Bob Dila) with two friends to attempt a most unusual feat: connecting Toulouse to Bordeaux along the Garonne. A five-day journey started on a canoe with a capacity of 250 kg after a watered aperitif. “It was a trip on the model of the conquerors of the useless, laughs Clément. We stopped on the banks to eat and we pitched the tent”
While they were a few kilometers from the Gironde coast, near Langon, a piece of metal put an end to the epic of the three sailors, by slashing the “hull” of their “ship”.
Almost seven years later, Clément found the images of this trip and finally took the time to put together a small film full of humor. In a two-minute video posted on YouTube on December 15, we can see the three navigators aboard their raft maneuvering or docking in cities as “exotic” (dixit Clément) as Montech or Agen.
“If the 10,000 views are reached, we will resume the oars to complete the adventure and all the images will be edited in a Man vs. Wild-style report (” Alone facing nature “in French)”, warns the Toulouse resident.
