Like every fall, the Lumières sur le Quai festival returns this weekend to Toulouse; the opportunity for an entertaining and educational family outing. Each year it invites the public to explore a subject from various angles, mixing the points of view of scientists, artists and citizens, thus creating a multidisciplinary dialogue. For this new edition, artificial intelligence will be at the heart of the event. So-called “generative” algorithms are invading workshops, stages and artistic studios around the world. The increasingly frequent use of content creation and generation software raises many questions about the future of creation: What does this alliance between art and AI produce? What are the repercussions for artists and society? Can we truly speak of creativity when it comes from a machine?
