This Thursday evening, the Toulonnais Rugby Club hosted LOU Rugby at the Stade Mayol on the occasion of the 13th day of the Top 14.
And the Varois won at home with a score of 21 to 3.
The Toulonnais scored their only two tries of the match. And it was Fiji national winger Jiuta Wainiqolo who scored twice (6′ and 28′).
Franck Azéma and Pierre Mignoni’s men could have picked up the bonus point at the end of the game, but Toulonnaise’s attack remained barren five meters from the goal line.
Note that no points were scored during the second period of play!
It is an important victory for the RCT who will find their colors in the Top 14 and surpass LOU Rugby in the championship standings.
