Fédéstival: the new large-scale cultural project of the Departmental Federation of Rural Homes of Saône-et-Loire.
The first edition will take place from September 13 to 19, 2021 in Toulon-sur-Arroux, near the Jean Chandioux room.
Fédéstival, a somewhat strange name at first glance, still unknown, but not for long. After the operation “J’aime mon Village”, intended to support associations which requested it in the implementation of diversified and experimental projects within their territories, the FDFR 71 decided to embark on a new adventure. over at least two years.
« The starting point of Fédéstival is to federate local associations, rural homes, inhabitants, schools, local elected officials, in places where there are few and / or not necessarily welcoming structures. The objective is to demystify culture, make it accessible and allow local wealth to be expressed in an open space and freely invested. », Assures Didier Ray, head of the Culture Department of the FDFR 71.
The space in question is therefore the marquee of the Roulottes en Chantier association, with which the Federation has joined forces to carry out this project. The first to receive Fédéstival is the Foyer Rural de Grand Secteur Autunois-Morvan. According to Marie Bouthière, treasurer of the latter: “ It was obvious for us to organize this first edition. The FRGS is strong in its values of popular education and the variety of actions carried out in its territory. Fédéstival is in perfect harmony with this, hence the evidence to welcome it “. Comments confirmed by the rest of the FRGS team. For several months, in the complicated context that we know, it established a program over seven days, accompanied by Fabien Flores, development agent and Alizée Pouverin, cultural assistant and communication officer at FDFR 71.
On the program: workshops, theater, conferences, an entire day devoted to the forest, concerts, screenings, something to satisfy young and old. Fédéstival is therefore an opportunity to get together to bring culture to life and celebrate in a rural environment, to spend a festive and friendly start to the school year, but also to discover that a big top is not only dedicated to the circus.

Most events are free, with the exception of three events (€ 6 adults, € 4 members, free under 12).
Inscriptions
Many events are accessible by registration until September 10. In this context, you have to go to the FDFR 71 site: https://fdfr71.foyersruraux.org, then on “Agenda” and “September 2021”, and select the events for which you wish to register.

What is FDFR 71?
It is an association bringing together more than 100 households and associations, and more than 5,000 individual members throughout the department. With reference to popular education, it supports its network on a daily basis in the deployment of various activities and events.
And the FRGS Autunois-Morvan?
It is one of the seven geographical sectors of the FDFR 71. Composed of 22 associations and 40 volunteers, its fields of action are diversified: family, parenthood, social ties, training of volunteers, CinéVillage, development of the territory …
