TOULON: Good reflexes before going to the emergency room

CARE – The pressure on the health system of the Var department is growing every day more alarming and every day greater.

TOULON: Good reflexes before going to the emergency room

The hospitals are in an extremely tense situation.
While the epidemiological indicators continue to progress strongly (incidence rate of 870 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and positivity rate of 9.1%) and that the peak of the fifth wave should not be reached before January, the services of help and emergency are more and more requested.
However, the calls received on 15, 18 or 112 do not all relate to emergencies. Many of these calls could first be treated by city medicine.
The demands for medical transport are also very important. However, these should be reserved for people who are not able to travel without medical care.
In this difficult period for everyone, and especially for the staff of hospitals and emergency services, everyone must be responsible and ask them in the most appropriate way.

Good reflexes:

> If I need treatment, I first call my doctor. Very often your doctor can treat you and give you the best advice quickly.
> If your doctor is not available, some establishments welcome you on extended hours, weekends and public holidays.
