In recent months, two other parks have benefited from a salutary makeover in this sector, with the creation of playgrounds, bowling green, multisports ground, dog park, dining area and greening of the spaces.
« Ainsi enlarged and restructured, the Barthélémy square today offers a new face, with a point of view on the church of Pont du Las as on the Saint Roch school in a quality and soothing environment », Underlined Hubert Falco, during the inauguration.
Securing and landscaping
Originally, this place is a crossing garden, located between rue Michel de Borges and rue Saint-Laurent, where a dilapidated building used to be. The latter destroyed, a new space allowed a restructuring of the whole. The choice was made to prioritize securing access to the forecourt of the Pont du Las elementary school and the creation of a 1,500m2 garden for a cost of € 499,000.
Many improvements to town planning
Road works, widening of sidewalks, installation of safety barriers and resumption of rain, so many improvements intended to secure traffic around the school and carried out over a period of 4 months.
As for the garden, 1,200 Mediterranean plants, 17 citrus fruits and 6 trees were planted. It is decorated with many stone planters and benefits from a path, a wooden walkway, a dog park, a children’s play area and new lighting.
