We managed to create a lot of chances to finish, but it was also the team that attacked us the most in these three games”, began Ceni.

Rogério Ceni was asked about Bahia’s lack of concentration in the match. In the first half alone, midfielder Cauly wasted three big chances. For the coach, the wrong decision-making is the result of the start of the season, which still requires more preparation.

I think they are trying hard, but sometimes someone forgets to make a certain movement, it seems like they don’t, but it’s a very collective marking and if someone fails they tend to burst back. You have to have a very exact timing of what you want, as it is a very compact group and we cannot break the lines. At the end of the game, we often no longer have the strength to reach, apply pressure. This is all a matter of training”, he assessed.

With ten points, Bahia established itself in Baianão’s G4 and is now aiming for the leadership of the competition. The tricolor, however, will take a break from the competition.
