Last September, he announced that he had Tourette syndrome, that’s why his muscles twitch uncontrollably during concerts, especially in his shoulder. He decided to go public with the problem mainly because the news about his addiction to cocaine was spreading on the Internet.
“It comes at any time. When I’m excited, stressed, happy. Some days are more painful, others less so. It seems worse than it is. It’s just not very comfortable sometimes. But it always comes, and then it goes away.” stated the musician.

Due to the syndrome, he could not give a 100% performance even during one of the last concerts. Uncontrollable tics forced him to stop singing. A fan subsequently published a recording of a performance with this song on her Instagram Katharina and went viral within moments.
“I have Tourette’s syndrome, so I squirm a little in the video. Nothing unusual, I’m perfectly fine. It happens when I’m tired, nervous, or excited.” commented on the video Capaldi, which it also reached. Look how the fans held him!
