Days after his explosive statements against the players and the club, Antonio Conte stopped being the manager of Tottenham, team in which Cristian Romero plays, world champion in Qatar 2022.
“They are used to not fighting over something important. They don’t want to play under pressure or under stress. For me it is unacceptable. Tottenham’s story is this. The owner has been here for 20 years and he has never won anything,” the coach had said, questioned recently for lack of results.
Instead Cristian Stellini will take over on an interim basis with Ryan Mason as an assistant until the end of the season. Tottenham is 4th in the Premier League, the only competition in which it participates, 20 points behind Arsenal, the leader, and with qualifying for the next Champions League as a major goal.
