The Italian coach Antonio Conte will not continue on the Tottenham bench “by mutual agreement” with the entity, the Premier League club announced this Sunday.
The Italian coach, who arrived at the London club in November 2021, leaves Tottenham in fourth place in the English championship, a position that gives access to play the next edition of the Champions League, despite the fact that on the last day they tied 3- 3 against Southampton, a result that led Conte to harshly criticize his players and the entity’s leaders.

“We have 10 Premier League games left and it is in our hands to fight for a Champions League spot,” Tottenham chairman David Levy said in a statement.

Conte will be replaced on the bench until the end of the season by his hitherto deputy Cristian Stellini, who led the team recently when the head coach was out after undergoing surgery to remove his gallbladder.
Stellini will have former Spurs player Ryan Mason as his assistant, who already briefly and interimly held the coaching position in 2021.
