Tottenham’s long-awaited recovery: Kane scored two goals

(Crystal Palace 0-4 Tottenham) After a difficult first half away to Crystal Palace, Tottenham kept pace with holiday football in the second half.

67 minutes had passed when Kane was on the move again and sent a beautiful pass to Son. The 30-year-old waited a little too long to shoot on target but was quick when he saw it wasn’t going to work. After looking up, he sent a stitched pass to Matt Doherty who went wide to make it 3-0.

– We didn’t have a good start after the toilet break. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy getting here. Evening game with wind, it’s cold, tough away. We stayed in the first half and showed our quality towards the end, Doherty tells Viaplay and adds:

But the party didn’t stop there, and Son suddenly became a goalscorer too. Just 20 minutes before the end, Kane played a high ball into the back room, which found Son, who narrowed to make it 4-0 and who threw his mask in celebration.

With their first three points in the league since 12 November, Tottenham now have 33 points from 18 games. Down to Manchester United, with one game less played, there is now a difference of two points.

Portsmouth await in the FA Cup on Saturday, before Arsenal visit for a real derby in the next league round.
