According to Voetbal24, Toby Alderweireld believes he can shine at Tottenham after the dismissal of José Mourinho.
The £ 80,000-a-week man has told the Brugge Club, who was interested in his services, that he is not thinking of leaving North London at this time.
Alderweireld feels he is still good enough to be a regular in Tottenham’s starting eleven, having started just 20 of the club’s 33 Premier League games this season.

Some might have thought Dele Alli would be the man with a new life after Mourinho’s departure, given the way he treated the English international.
The 58-year-old only started Dele twice in the Premier League this term, before Daniel Levy gave him his marching orders.
However, it is Alderweireld who seems rejuvenated with his departure.

After recent events, this is not so surprising.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham players were puzzled and angry after Mourinho said he dropped Alderweireld because he only returned to training on Saturday, before a game against Newcastle on Sunday.

However, images posted by Tottenham’s Twitter account showed the Belgian on Hotspur Way on Thursday, how strange.
Perhaps Alderweireld was about to become Mourinho’s new Alli, or his new Paul Pogba.
Fortunately for him, the former Chelsea boss left before more strange events occurred.
