Tottenham Hotspur faced with Liverpool this weekend in the English Premier League. Antonio Conte the match will be difficult for The Lilywhites.
Liverpool vs Tottenham took place at Anfield, Sunday (8/5/2022) early morning WIB. The Reds aim to win all three points to keep their chances of winning the league title and Spurs also want to win for a ticket to the Champions League.
Tottenham are aware that the mission to win will not be easy. Liverpool have calm and play very attacking.
“It was very difficult to play against Liverpool – they were in a very good form,” Conte said, quoted by the Irish Times.
“I watched (the Champions League semi-final against) Villarreal and the composure was incredible. The team is strong, one of the best in the world. At the same time it will be a good game for us.”
Conte admits he prefers to deal with opponents who attack rather than defend. Manchester City was even defeated after playing very attacking.
“Every time you play these top teams, it’s important there is a great desire to find a way to stop them. Against Manchester City it happened twice and against Liverpool we drew at home,” Conte revealed.
“For sure I think it’s better when you have a duel with these teams than when we find a team that is very deep with not much possession of the ball.”
