Antonio Rudiger will be offered a “huge” new contract at Chelsea after Tottenham cooled his interest, according to a report.
Rudiger is about to complete the last 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge. His situation has led to a resurgence of ties with Tottenham. The Spurs tried to sign him last year and have been endorsed to revive their interest. However, contradictory claims have now emerged.
The Sun, citing the Daily Mirror, recently reported that Tottenham could go back in for Rudiger. But now, Football Insider has denied those claims.
Instead, the website suggests that Chelsea will offer the defender a significant raise as part of a new contract.
Rudiger has been in West London since 2017, when he joined from Rome. He lost his place in the lineup towards the end of Frank Lampard’s reign, but has regained it with Thomas Tuchel. In fact, he was one of Chelsea’s most important players in the Champions League final, which he won.
Despite that, it was thought that talks on a new deal were still on hold. But now, they are ready to turn back on.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea will start talks with Rudiger in the coming weeks. You will be offered a “huge” new deal to secure your long-term future.
As a result, Tottenham will end their search for the former Stuttgart center-back. Instead, they will focus their attention on more realistic goals.

But in the immediate future, Tottenham will likely continue to seek a defensive signing.
