A relief victory for Tottenham because the mission to finish in the top four is maintained. Tottenham are currently in fourth place in the Premier League standings with 54 points from 30 matches, ahead on goal difference over Arsenal who have only played 28 times.

Indeed, Arsenal’s position can still be shifted if they beat Crystal Palace tomorrow. However, Tottenham have at least given the signal that they are getting better with Conte, after a difficult start.

According to Opta’s records, Tottenham are the third team with the most points in the Premier League, which is 39 points, since Conte took charge of the team. Only Liverpool and Manchester City have more, which is 50 points.

“It’s very difficult to stay long in the hunt for a ticket to the Champions League in this league. We want to be there until the end of the season. We have to continue playing in this way with high intensity, accuracy. My team is improving in many aspects,” said Antonio Conte to Sky Sports.

“I’m very happy. I was happy before the international break yesterday to see the team’s performance. I said it was a shame to have to stop and I asked the players to be able to perform like that,” he continued.

“Maybe in the past the players could lose focus when in trouble. Now the team is more focused and I saw a lot of positive things today.”
