Tottenham Hotspur crush success Sheffield United 4-0. Gareth Bale considered this a positive response from Spurs after failing in the Premier League Cup final.
Tottenham host Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Matchday 34 Premier League, Monday (3/5/2021) early morning WIB. The Lilywhites won 4-0 with a Bale hat-trick and a Son Heung-min goal.
This became an antidote for Tottenham after a heartbreak in the Premier League Cup. The team from North London failed to win when Manchester City was defeated 0-1 on Sunday (25/4/2021).
“We have to bounce back in a positive way and we did it tonight,” Bale told the BBC.
“It’s nice to score a hat-trick, but the team comes first. We need all the points we can get now, so we will keep fighting until the end,” he continued.
Tottenham currently sits in fifth place in the Premier League standings with 56 points. They are five points behind Chelsea in fourth.
That situation required Tottenham to wipe out the remaining four games. On the other hand, Tottenham also had to wait for Chelsea to slip in order to win a ticket to the Champions League.
