London –
Tottenham Hotspur ran aground in Cup FOUR by the second division team. This defeat is believed to be eye-opening Harry Kane about waiting for his title there.
Tottenham Hotspur surprisingly stopped in the last 16 of the FA Cup. The Lilywhites lost 0-1 to Sheffield United who are representatives of the Championship division.
The defeat meant leaving Spurs with the Premier League and Champions League to chase, having already been knocked out of the English League Cup. The chance to win in both competitions is undoubtedly more difficult and complicated than in the English League Cup and FA Cup, if not impossible.
Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp highlighted Harry Kane’s expression after the loss to Sheffield. He saw the England national team striker look disappointed and disturbed his thoughts.
Redknapp suspects Kane is thinking about his chances of winning a trophy at Tottenham Hotspur, the club he has defended since he was in the academy. He had wanted to leave last summer, but the club managed to hold him back.
But with only a contract left until 2024, he is expected to open the door wide for offers from other clubs.
“I support Spurs to win the tournament this season. I saw the possibility and thought this could be their year,” Redknapp said talkSPORT.
“With that left in the FA Cup, the chances are good. Just look at last night’s draw. I thought Tottenham would have gone all the way to the end, but the result was lousy.”
“He (Kane) looked disappointed last night and probably thought, I’m never going to win a trophy here.”
Tottenham Hotspur have been without a title since 2008, the year they won the English League Cup.
