Nico Williams’ progress at Athletic Bilbao has not gone unnoticed and the speedy winger has previously been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United and now it seems a new club is stepping into the fray for Williams’ signature.
According to information from the Daily Mirror, Tottenham are also interested in attracting Williams during the summer transfer window and the London club have an advantage over the other interested parties.
Williams has a buyout clause of 50 million euros, approximately SEK 564 million. However, Tottenham have no problems with Financial Fair Play at the moment, which means that they have more room for maneuver in the transfer market.
During the season, Williams accounted for three goals and seven assists in 22 La Liga appearances.
