Rennes –
The storm of injuries continues Tottenham Hotspur. There are two other players who have to enter the treatment room ahead of facing Chelsea.
Tottenham travel to Rennes headquarters at Roazhon Park on the first matchday of Group G Conference League, Friday (17/9/2021) early morning WIB. Both teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
This result is very disappointing for Tottenham because there are two injured players, namely Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura. They followed Son Heung-min, Eric Dier, and Ryan Sessegnon who had already been sidelined through injury.
Tottenham are also still missing three players from the South American continent. Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso are still in quarantine in Croatia.
The Tottenham manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, had to rack his brains in dealing with this condition. Tottenham in the next match will host Chelsea in the English Premier League, Sunday (19/9/2021).
“I can’t tell you. They are being treated by the medical department. But it’s difficult. It hurts, it feels really bad,” Nuno said as quoted by Metro.
“It’s very bad. I have to be honest, I can’t cover it up. After the Watford game, everything that happened wasn’t very good for us.”
“But, this is football and we know this is a moment we have to overcome. Today, we tried to show solutions to the players, thinking about the game on Sunday. But it is about overcoming obstacles. It will make us stronger for the future.”
“(Against Chelsea) at home and we have the fans behind us. We will compete. It will be a tough game but we will be ready for it. They are a very good team, a very good team. All the teams in the Premier League very tough.”
“Today we proved football is becoming more and more difficult because every place you go, the team gives everything they have. So we have to adjust to this situation and try to improve the quality. We want to build and become stronger,” said Nuno.
