Premier League predictions: matchday five
Brighton & Hove Albion recibe al Leicester City
Fresh from a disappointing 2-2 draw against Napoli in the Europa League, in which they were 2-0 up until the 69th minute, Leicester City head to Brighton & Hove Albion in search of the three points. The hosts, however, will be in for a tough test as they held their ground before scoring late to beat Brentford last time out.
Expect an even encounter, with Leicester’s defensive woes becoming clearer as the games progress. Their scoring prowess will provide a boost, but ultimately the Foxes will hold onto a draw, thanks to their defensive woes.
Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Leicester City
Manchester United Viajes a West Ham
After losing to Young Boys in the Champions League, Manchester United must make a statement against West Ham. If they don’t, many will be left questioning their title credentials. And if it’s anything like last season, when United were forced to come back to win at the London Stadium, then they will face a tough test.
There could be an impact on the cards here; West Ham is not easy to convince these days; Quite the contrary, in fact, and they pose a greater threat than any other team United has faced this season. The goals will certainly be on the agenda, and maybe even a shocking victory.
West Ham United 2-2 Manchester United
Tottenham host Chelsea at London Derby
Matches between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are always full of drama, and Sunday’s battle is expected to be no different. The Blues enter the game as the big favorites and, such is Thomas Tuchel’s tactical approach, they hope they live up to the hype, with Romelu Lukaku playing a major role once again.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s confident start has turned sour in recent weeks, with Nuno Espírito Santo suffering a 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace, before a 2-2 draw against Rennes midweek. The recent misery will likely only continue against Chelsea.
