Tottenham Hotspur planning to return Mauricio Pochettino. The North London club has already discussed it with its former coach.
It is reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham, who are looking for a manager for next season, are interested in recruiting Pochettino again, although he is still tied to the club. Paris Saint Germain until June 2022.
Pochettino in April last year had expressed his desire to return to coach Tottenham someday. Even so, at this time it is not easy for the Spurs to bring the 49-year-old coach.
BBC reporting so far Tottenham haven’t spoken to PSG yet. Add more, Pochettino just gave the signal to stay at the Parc des Princes.
“With the current way of working, plus the desire to develop other ideas on the pitch, extraordinary things are possible in the future,” Pochettino told PSG’s official website.
If Pochettino does not return home, Tottenham will turn to other targets. Roberto Martinez (Belgium National Team), Graham Potter (Brighton & Hove Albion), to Ralf Rangnick (ex RB Leipzig) are reportedly also on the target list.
Pochettino has just failed to bring PSG to defend the Ligue 1 title, after losing to Lille. Even so, this season Les Parisiens can still win two trophies, namely the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions.
While at Tottenham in 2014-2019, the best reach Pochettino is the runner-up of the 2019 Champions League.
