After Tottenham’s defeat against Chelsea on Sunday (0-2), in the Premier League, Antonio Conte conceded that Thomas Tuchel’s Blues were stronger than his team. A lucid observation after three defeats against the European champion in two weeks (the Spurs lost 0-2 then 0-1 in the semi-finals of the League Cup).
“In 13 days we have lost three times against Chelsea. That means there is a level gap between them and us, that they are much stronger than us, as a team and as a group. You have to accept it, but only after a performance like tonight. Because we tried everything to get a good result here. But sometimes this struggle is not enough, especially when you play against this type of team. They are very good. This club is on another level compared to us”, admitted the Italian technician.
