Tottenham Hotspur take a stand against climate change. The Premier League club has signed a strategic alliance with Sky so that next September 19 game against Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the first professional football match with zero net carbon emissions.
The project, baptized with the name of Game Zero, has the support from the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26), which will take place from 1 to 12 November in Glasgow, and of the Premier League.
To fulfill its purpose of organizing the first carbon-free match, the Spurs They have designed a plan to reduce emissions, which will accompany the compensation through natural projects (reforestation programs) of the emissions into the atmosphere that they have not been able to avoid.
