Toto revived by Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams – News item

More than a year ago, Toto founder Steve ‘Luke’ Lukather and singer Joseph Williams decided to take a break and to end the then composition of the American rock band. Now the two are back with a new lineup. Bassist John Pierce, drummer Robert ‘Sput’ Searight and keyboardist Steve Maggiore join the men this time. Keyboardist Dominique ‘Xavier’ Taplin and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ham return in the band that caused a furore in the eighties with hits such as ‘Africa’, ‘Rosanna’ and ‘Stop Loving You’.

From living room to world tour

The new Toto formation will take the stage for the first time on November 21 with a streaming concert that can be followed worldwide. Fans must buy a ticket to watch the show from their living room. A world tour will follow in 2021 in which Lukather and Williams will perform solo work in addition to the well-known and lesser-known Toto material. “The Dogz of Oz tour offers a rare opportunity to reinvent our personal future while maintaining a deep connection with the audience,” said Steve Lukather in the official announcement.
