Visiting Japan would be incomplete if you haven’t boarded the Shinkansen high-speed train. The easiest one, a traveler can try from Tokyo to Nagano in winter while looking at the snow mountains.

To take the shinkansen via Tokyo Station, the price for one way to Nagano is 8,340 Yen or the equivalent of nearly IDR 1 million. Shinkansen in Japan is very punctual, the manager will give an announcement if the shinkansen is late.
Japanese people are famous for their orderliness, all passengers line up neatly to ride the shinkansen. The Shinkansen to Nagano from Tokyo is named Asama 605, the body color of the shinkansen is white with a long blue stripe.
During the shinkansen ride, passengers will not hear any noise from the outside of the shinkansen, and will not feel any shaking at all. It’s really quiet inside the Shinkansen, passengers can work while working because tables and power outlets are provided.

“The Nagano Shinkansen is unique. It’s a bit uphill,” said a guide named Takagashi.
The Shinkansen still runs slowly beyond Tokyo Station, but will go straight to Takasaki Station. After Takasaki Station, the shinkansen rushes again towards Karuizawa Station.
During the trip to Karuizawa, the eyes are spoiled with views of mountains and hills. Not only that, passengers will also see snow in the mountains, yards, and roads. To note, Karuizawa is an area for vacation, the Japanese emperor also has a palace for resting in Karuizawa.
After Karuizawa Station, the shinkan speeds again towards the last station Nagano. The Shinkansen to Nagano will also pass through a number of tunnels under the hill.
Upon arrival at Nagano Station, we were greeted with cold air of 3 degrees Celsius. Nagano is one of the holiday destinations in Japan. Nagano provides historic shrines, snow play, and skiing destinations.
