Visiting Japan would be incomplete if you haven’t boarded the Shinkansen high-speed train. The easiest one, a traveler can try from Tokyo to Nagano in winter while looking at the snow mountains.

“The Nagano Shinkansen is unique. It’s a bit uphill,” said a guide named Takagashi.

The Shinkansen still runs slowly beyond Tokyo Station, but will go straight to Takasaki Station. After Takasaki Station, the shinkansen rushes again towards Karuizawa Station.

During the trip to Karuizawa, the eyes are spoiled with views of mountains and hills. Not only that, passengers will also see snow in the mountains, yards, and roads. To note, Karuizawa is an area for vacation, the Japanese emperor also has a palace for resting in Karuizawa.

After Karuizawa Station, the shinkan speeds again towards the last station Nagano. The Shinkansen to Nagano will also pass through a number of tunnels under the hill.

Upon arrival at Nagano Station, we were greeted with cold air of 3 degrees Celsius. Nagano is one of the holiday destinations in Japan. Nagano provides historic shrines, snow play, and skiing destinations.
