Screams, cries then sirens… This Saturday evening, the inhabitants of a building located rue Louis Plana in the Soupetard district in Toulouse saw their evening take a particularly disconcerting turn. It is around 8 p.m. when a first witness indicates that a man is completely naked in the street near the pharmacy in this district.
This neighbor tells the police by dialing 17 that this man does not seem to be in his normal state and above all is behaving very violently. A first police team therefore goes to the scene. “He was screaming to death, after several cries, I went out on my balcony to see what was happening, it was worrying”, indicates a resident of the residence, still stirred by the events.
A delirium under synthetic drugs
When they arrive, the police can’t believe it either. They fall on the completely naked individual, totally covered in blood but above all in the process of jumping with both feet on the windshield of a vehicle parked in the street. The rest will be complicated for the police. The latter try as best they can to bring down this 40-year-old man, but the person resists and struggles. Reinforcements are called. After long minutes of trying to control him, this forties is finally handcuffed to the ground while waiting for the arrival of the firefighters.
Dozens of residents and occupants of the building descend, worried to see what is happening at the foot of their homes. “Everyone was shocked. There was a lot of blood, the gentleman did not look well, he kept screaming, he was gesticulating in all directions”, confides, a young tenant of the building . The agitated individual is injured in the hand, hence the significant presence of blood. According to our information, this forties would have ingested a synthetic drug, LSD. The consumption of this drug would have provoked in him this uncontrollable delirium pushing him to commit these degradations. When he left the hospital, he was arrested and taken into custody. In hearing, he admitted the facts and left the police station with a summons to appear before the courts.
