TotalEnergies and Partners Secure 25-Year Contract for Attentive Energy One Project in New York

(AOF) – TotalEnergies and its partners Corio Generation (Corio) and Rise Light & Power (Rise) announced that the State of New York has selected their Attentive Energy One project for a 25-year contract to supply 1 .4 GW of renewable electricity. Attentive Energy One, a joint venture owned by TotalEnergies (40%), Rise (35%) and Corio (25%), won New York State’s 2023 RFP for ORECs Offshore Renewable Energy) hosted by the New York State Energy and Research Development Agency (NYSERDA).

The consortium’s goal is to commission this project in 2029.

NYSERDA was particularly sensitive to the local content of the proposal: the Attentive Energy One project will allow the construction of new General Electric factories to produce wind turbine blades and nacelles, and investments of up to $300 million in multiple local development projects in New York State.

It will also transform the Ravenswood gas plant, owned by Rise, into a green energy hub in the heart of New York.
