How everything will happen

During a total solar eclipse, the Moon aligns between the Earth and the Sun, becoming almost the same size as the Sun itself. This alignment results in a short period of total eclipse during which the Moon completely covers the solar disk, the duration of which depends on the location of the viewer.

The Moon’s central shadow will touch the Earth at sunrise in the Pacific Ocean near Starbuck Island in Kiribati. The shadow will then cross the Earth for 3 hours and 16 minutes before finally disappearing at sunset in the Atlantic Ocean north of the Azores.

Those lucky enough to be in the path of the eclipse will witness the longest eclipse on land since the July 11, 2010 total solar eclipse on Easter Island/Rapa Nui, lasting 4 minutes 28 seconds.

By the way, The eclipse will travel a path of about 16,000 kilometers, with less than half of the path passing over land. The eclipse is forecast to take 68 minutes to pass through North America, including Mexico, 15 US states and Canada.
